This is the actual loan amount you are borrowing. This amount must be repaid with interest. You cannot borrow a loan amount that is higher than what you were approved for on your Federal Direct Parent PLUS application. The amount applied to your student's billing statement will be lower than the gross amount, due to an origination fee charged by the federal government.
